Windows – 2012r2 & 2016 – How to disable the SMBv1 Protocol

First check if the protocol is enabled, go to ROLES & FEATURES

As you can see it is enabled but greyed out…

So you need to use the famous Powershell :

Using :

CLS

Get-WindowsFeature FS-SMB1

Remove-WindowsFeature FS-SMB1

When Finished you will see this message :

After REBOOT you can see the SMBv1 is unchecked Smile
